    The first floating hospital in Indonesia called as RSA (Rumah Sakit Apung) Dr. Lie Dharmawan was built by doctor Lie Dharmawan and launched in 2009. The floating hospital providing free health services for poor people in remote areas, especially eastern Indonesia.

    The facilities inside of RSA dr.Lie Dharmawan floating hospital can do some medical treatment such as USG, minor surgery and major surgery. The small size of RSA dr.Lie Dharmawan floating hospital allowing it to reach remote areas. Doctor Lie Dharmawan also did not hesitate to pick up the patients with lifeboat.

    After build the first floating hospital (RSA) dr. Lie Dharmawan, he made a non profit organization called as doctorShare aka Doctor Caring Foundation.

    As the time goes by, doctorShare now operating 3 floating hospitals which is RSA dr.Lie Dharmawan, RSA Nusa Waluya I and RSA Nusa Waluya II.

    Each of this floating hospital had their own facilities to providing health access for people that can’t get access to adequate health access easily.

    doctorSHARE third floating hospital and the world’s 1st hospital barge, RSA Nusa Waluya II is a joint collaboration between doctorSHARE and PT. Multi Agung Sarana Ananda (MASA).

    Nusa Waluya II floating hospital is designed with greater sustainability in mind and will provide two main services: primary and specialized medical services similar to a Type C landed-hospital, as well as empowerment programs for local healthcare providers and local people through a community-based approach.
